Almanac for Yesterday

MM’s Severe Wx Concerns
Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible again both Friday night and Saturday, though the risk on Saturday appears greater than on Friday night. Please keep this severe weather potential in mind when making holiday plans this weekend. Stay tuned for updates. There are still uncertainties with how this system will evolve and any changes in the storm track and timing could either lower or increase our severe weather chances rather significantly.

MM severe weather safety tips can be found at the link below. Make sure you are prepared, just in case bad weather rolls in.
MM’s Winter Wx Concerns
Impacts look low for this wintry event, but I’ll keep a close eye on it! Right now, light accumulations on elevated surfaces looks possible.

Remember the Fur Babies
Make sure your outdoor fur babies are sheltered and dry before this 40-degree temp plunge arrives Sunday! The cold air with this system has quite the bite!

On This Day in Wx History
1955 – Anchorage, Alaska, reported an all-time record snow depth of 47 inches.
