There’s not much to update you all on at this hour. I am uploading a YouTube video but it is taking its sweet time! (ha). When that becomes available just jump over to @ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCz3zLMT7tqpb6eIaE-8YGog and access that. It should be ready by 10:00.
The latest development I have for you is a special discussion, called a mesoscale discussion, that has been issued for portions of Arkansas (seen on map below). The Storm Prediction Center anticipates issuing a watch there soon. Other watches will likely extend into Kentucky and Tennessee as the night progresses, depending on how much the atmosphere can destabilize overnight.

Our atmosphere continues to show signs of destabilizing and we will see over the next few hours just how unstable it will become. My YouTube video explains this a bit more. Hopefully it will publish soon.
From this point on, I will just send out an update if there’s something you need to know about. The next storm update for tomorrow from the Strom Prediction Center comes out at 1:00 a.m. and I will likely send out an update when that comes out. I’ll send out an update sooner if something comes up that you need to know about.
Thank you for trusting me with your weather! I appreciate it more than you know. I will end with saying that the blog has hit a major milestone tonight! I have had by 500,000th view! That sure is a far cry from the 413 views I had my first month of blogging in June 2017! Thank you all so much for all the views!
Thank you Mark! You sure do make us feel safe. I hate winter weather like this. So UNPREDICTABLE. You make it easy to get a good nights sleep. Thanks, Charlotte
Thank you Mark for going above and beyond for Fentress County residents to keep us weather informed.
You are more than welcome, Nancy!
