MM’s Severe Wx Concerns

MM’s Winter Wx Concerns

A weak system will pass by Thursday night and bring the chance for flurries. Right now, that doesn’t look to amount to anything. I’ll monitor that, though.

By the weekend, a storm system will move across the area and bring a variety of rain and snow. Precip may start as snow, switch to rain, then back to snow. If the track of the low changes our precip types and amounts would change. Stay tuned.

2008 – Iraqis in Baghdad woke up to the novelty of falling snowflakes as the city experienced its first snowfall in about 100 years.

MM News

The next MM kids class will likely hold off until February. Class is FREE. If you would like to be added to the email list for class notifications, just send me an email to meteorologistmark@gmail.com.

An adults class will also be offered this month at TCAT to discuss the recent severe weather. That class was scheduled for Jan 4 but it is being rescheduled. Stay tuned for that new date! The class is free but any donation goes toward my monthly class for kids at TCAT.

Keep in mind there is a monthly newsletter for kids for FREE at https://meteorologistmarkpro.com/newsletter-for-kids/! Starting this month, there will be two newsletters for the kids each month, with one being primarily focused on space and the other on weather.

Weekly newsletter subscription proceeds go toward supporting my education outreach, primarily including the monthly class for kids that I teach at TCAT and the materials we use in those classes for our hands-on learning projects. You get to support encouraging kids to dream, while getting an awesome weekly newsletter that is sure to teach you something interesting about our weather! Let me know if you have any questions or would like to support my classes!
