10:15 a.m. Saturday Update

The forecast for scattered, light wintry precip this Saturday morning has played out across the plateau. Thankfully, temps have now risen above freezing areawide. Crossville is 34, Cookeville is 39, and Jamestown reported 35 degrees at 10:00. Therefore, travel problems are not expected through the daylight hours of the rest of this day.

A NWS conference call is scheduled at 11:00 and I am registered for that. I’ll give an update by noon with info gathered from that, as well as new data coming in this morning.

So far, the forecast looks on track!

Now is the time to prepare for hazardous travel Sunday through Monday. Prepare for power outages, just in case. I continue to suggest being home by dark this evening.

You all stay warm and look for my full update around noon.
