Temps have warmed nicely today with southerly winds. We’ve even seen a nice break from the showers this evening, though the rains will return. These warm temps will be with us until about midnight. Then, temps will take a tumble.
Current radar shows plenty of rain to our west, moving eastward.
Any moisture left over tonight will turn to a light wintry mix. Guidance has backed off on precip just a bit, but it only takes a glaze of ice to make roads slick. It looks like Fentress County may have a better chance at that wintry mix than Cumberland County, but that’s certainly not set in stone. As I’ve said before, let’s hope the cold front pushes all the moisture east with it.
A few flurries are possible Thursday morning but the majority of that day is just looking cold.
I’ll update again later tonight on the wintry weather situation after some fresh new date has come in. Just keep it right here to MeteorologistMark.com!
