The line of heavy rainfall that prompted the severe weather concerns for this evening has now passed to the east of Cumberland and Fentress counties. I can now give the all-clear.
Look for scattered showers for the next few hours, along with continued gusty winds. Those winds will turn northerly by 10:00 pm and be followed by sharply colder temperatures. By morning, temps will be in the mid 20s. Friday’s high will only climb into the mid 30s.
I’ll be at Homestead Elementary in the morning to talk about weather to the Kindergarteners! Good timing, right? ha
You all take care!
