A meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, at 6:00 pm at the Community Complex. Marvin Bullock from the White County Chamber of Commerce will share his experience with the Bridgestone-Firestone Wilderness area of White County and offer advice on what we can do to have a voice concerning the cutting on Catoosa. Representatives from the TWRA have also been invited.

Drought Data

The data cutoff for Drought Monitor maps is each Tuesday at 7 a.m. The maps, which are based on analysis of the data, are released each Thursday at 7:30 a.m. This week’s latest map is seen below.

Saving our Hardwoods

To learn more about the fight to save the hardwoods from being deforested on Catoosa, please see https://meteorologistmark.com/save-the-hardwoods/. Legislation is being considered that would prevent TWRA from directly profiting from the timber cutting, which would likely discourage them from further deforesting. Please help us fight to save our hardwoods for present and future generations.
