Storms are on approach to the plateau at this hour. The line is currently moving into western Putnam County. The good news is that storms are behaving themselves and I’ve not seen a single warning in Middle TN all morning. With all the pre-frontal rain and shower activity, our atmosphere may remain stable enough to keep storms below severe limits. Plus, storms are coming in the morning hours and not the warmer, more unstable afternoon and evening hours.
There are currently no watches and none are planned at this time.
Pictured below is the current radar. Notice storms are moving into the the western edges of both Putnam and Overton Counties. Over the next hour, the storms will be moving onto the plateau. By noon, the storm threat should be over (if not sooner). You all stay safe and stay weather-aware over the next few hours.
