The winds are kicking out there tonight! My power keeps flickering and internet is off and on. I sure hope you all took my advice and prepared for these fierce winds.
The line of storms is now moving through Nashville. The storms are showing up red on the radar but there have been very few reports of damage with this line. Interestingly, there are more reports of wind damage from these winds ahead of the line than there are with winds within the line of storms.
The NWS Nashville just made a statement that instability drops off fast east of Nashville. That’s due to that drier air that we have in place here. That’s good news for us!
I expect this line to weaken as it approaches the plateau. Still, let’s be weather aware until it passes. The line should be approaching the plateau by 11:00.
