MM’s Severe Wx Concerns
Because of increased risks for storms, the severe threat can’t be zero. Nevertheless, there are no indications of any widespread severe weather events. Just keep in mind that any storm that forms this time of year can be locally strong.

On This Day
2003- A pre-dawn severe weather outbreak produces six tornadoes across the Nashville metropolitan area between 2am and 4am CDT. One F-3 tornado tracks 20 miles across Williamson County, ending just northeast of downtown Franklin. One woman is injured in a demolished 3-story home on Old Hillsboro Road. Another F-3 tornado causes severe damage in Walterhill (Rutherford County).
1812 – The Waltz is introduced into English ballrooms. Some observers consider it disgusting and immoral.

MM News
There are still some seats left! I also now have some fun hands-on learning activities for us to do!
You can now purchase tickets to Weather & Wine through Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/327368938307! You can also come by the office or mail a check to Creative Compassion at 20 Penny Lane (Crossville, 38555) and buy a ticket. Let me know if you have any questions about purchasing tickets! Tickets are $25. You can also email me at meteorologistmark@gmail.com and let me know that you’ll be paying at the door.
I have a fun class planned, complete with some experiments!
Stonehaus Winery is graciously hosting this unique class! You don’t have to be a wine drinker to appreciated the fascinating impacts of weather and climate on grapes and the wines they make. This fun and informative class has limited seating, so be sure and secure your spot today! We will serve refreshments.
Proceeds benefit Creative Compassion and our mission to help folks who are struggling to make ends meet due to a financial emergency. This is a fun way to support a wonderful local nonprofit and to help folks in need in our community!
Please let me know if you have any questions. Stonehaus will offer wine tastings at their tasting bar after class for those who are interested. Some of those wines will feature those discussed in class!
