As I suspected, the line of storms is beginning to struggle and bust apart. That doesn’t mean we’re out of the woods, but much of the main activity is punching south from Nashville. I hope we at least get some rain from this or things are going to really start to dry out. Concerns for drought are increasing and I wonder if getting rain today will even help that much. So, fingers crossed we get some rain from this but fingers crossed it doesn’t come with severe weather.
More storms could easily develop in this heat and humidity and any one of those could produce damaging winds.
The Severe T-storm watch remains in effect until 2:00 but the risk is quite low. I’ll keep an eye on things!
Pictured below is the radar at 10:55 a.m. Notice how the main activity appears to be missing us. Just keep in mind new storms could still develop. The rain chance for today remains at 40-50%.
