The Storm Prediction Center is monitoring Southeast Kentucky and areas of northern Fentress County for possible strong to severe storms this afternoon. A cluster of storms is trying to develop in western Kentucky and those could intensify in the heat of the afternoon. A severe thunderstorm watch is being considered and that could include Fentress County (maybe even Cumberland if afternoon trends favor that).

Any of us are at risk for a storm this afternoon and evening, but areas just north of Cumberland County appear to have the greatest risk. That could change if more storms than expected develop southward of this cluster, so be weather aware for that this afternoon.
We should all see numerous showers and storms overnight and into Saturday.
