Friday Afternoon Update (3:50)

The cluster of storms in Kentucky that I mentioned in an earlier post have developed southward into Middle TN. The good news is that they are struggling to be severe. They certainly have some heavy downpours, cloud-to-ground lightning, and gusty winds, but they struggle to hold onto severity. They do occassionally pulse up to severe levels, but then drop back down to non-severe levels rather quickly.

With that being said, be mindful of any of these storms. As we know, summer storms can pack a punch.

The current radar shows storms slowly moving our way. One storm is already moving through Fentress County, just south of Jamestown.
