Many of us have seen some beneficial rain this evening and more rain is expected overnight. Another complex of storms can be seen on radar right now in western Kentucky. Like this evening’s rain, those storms will move our way overnight. A few of those could be strong but widespread severe weather is not expected. Just don’t be surprised if you wake up to loud thunder at some point tonight.
The storms tonight are due to a “cold” front moving in. That front is expected to bring numerous showers and storms to the area on Saturday, before the weather improves for Sunday.
Keep the weather radio on just in case one of these storms tonight goes severe, though that it looking unlikely. Strong storms will contain torrential rainfall, very gusty winds, and frequent lightning.
You all have a good night.
