3:20 Weather Update

Strong storms continue to develop across the plateau. These storms have copious amounts of cloud-to-ground lightning and very gusty winds. Some of these winds are capable of downing trees.

At this time, the strongest storms have moved south of Jamestown. There could be new development, of course, but the strongest storms have moved into southern Fentress and northern Cumberland Counties.

The tornado threat is very low. Damagaing straight-line winds to 60-70 mph are the greatest threat.

The current radar shows lots of activity around the area, moving east and southeast.
