Sunny skies await us for our Friday, along with comfortable temps. Overight lows will fall into the 40s once again. By Saturday, another frontal system begins approaching and that will bring in a few more clouds and a slight chance for a shower. Sunday looks mostly cloudy, with a chance for showers. Skies should clear by Sunday night.

On This Day 

1983 – A thunderstorm downburst caused a timber blowdown in the Kaibab National Forest north of the Grand Canyon. Two hundred acres were completely destroyed, and scattered destruction occurred across another 3300 acres. Many trees were snapped off 15 to 30 feet above ground level.

Hurricane Forecast 

A tropical depression in the Caribbean will need to be watched closely in the coming days. This depression is expected to become Tropical Storm Hermine by tonight. The path is concerning and intensity forecasts are calling for Hermine to be a cat 2 when it possibly impacts Florida Tuesday night. The forecast path and intensity could change, so stay tuned. Hurricane Fiona is expected to impact Nova Scotia by tonight. The storm could be one of the most powerful storms those folks have ever experienced.
