This Week’s Hazards

Five-Day Outlook

Five-Day Weather Forecast

Monday: Increasing clouds.

Monday Night: Light rain/snow/sleet mix possible late in the night. Little to no accumulation expected.

Tuesday: Cold rain likely. Rainfall amounts around 1/2 inch areawide.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy and cold.

Thursday: Partly cloudy and continued cold.

Friday: Moslty sunny. Continued cold.

Forecast Discussion

Monday will be the warmest day of the week, as temps warm ahead of our next storm system. Tuesday will be the wettest day of the week.

It now looks like warmer air will win out Monday night, especially with temps warming during the night, leading to a mostly liquid precip event through Tuesday. I say “mostly” because some of the precip between midnight and sunrise Tuesday could be mixed with snow and sleet. At this time, I don’t expect any travel issues. I’ll keep an eye on that.

After we pick up about half an inch of rain on Tuesday, temps will tumble once again. Our pattern will lock us into the holds of another arctic blast, leaving daytime highs struggling to climb through the 30s, while overnight lows dip into the teens and 20s. At this time, the forecast looks dry beyond Tuesday.
