I hope everyone is having a good start to the week! I wanted to give a quick update on tonight’s weather.
The good news is that wintry weather continues to look less likely. Winds have already turned to the south and that is helping bring up warmer air, even though it sure doesn’t feel very warm outside! Overnight lows should stay above freezing, so even if rain does mix with snow it won’t be able to accumulate.
Thankfully, rainfall amounts have trended up a bit today. It now looks like we could see up to half an inch of rain from this system across the plateau. We could use every drop and models aren’t showing any more measureable precip for at least 7-10 days.
Rain should begin tapering off after noon on Tuesday. Just be careful on those wet roads on your morning commute.
Also, temps are trending downward a bit for the end of the week. It now looks like we’ll have at least three nights in a row with overnight lows in the teens (Thursday-Saturday). Afternoon highs will generally be in the 30s, with highs barely getting above freezing on Thursday. Be ready to keep bundling up!
