This Week’s Hazards

Five-Day Outlook
Normal High: 53 deg Normal Low: 34 deg

Five-Day Weather Forecast
Thanksgiving: Partly cloudy and mild. Scattered rain showers likely after sunset. Total overnight rainfall amounts less than 1/4 inch.
Friday: Chance morning light showers. Additional rainfall amounts leass than 0.1 inch.
Saturday: Partly to mostly cloudy. Mild. Rain developing overnight. Windy. Wind gusts to 20 mph during the day, increasing to 25 mph overnight. Overnight rainfall amounts around 1/2 inch.
Sunday: Chance for mainly morning showers.
Monday: Partly cloudy and mild.
Forecast Discussion
Rainfall amounts have trended downward. Earlier guidance had suggested 1-2 inches of rain for the plateau from tonight through Sunday. Now, it’s looking like we may get about half that much. This is not good for our drought conditions, but we’ll take every drop we can get.
The severe threat for next Wednesday is looking less likely for us, with the main threats staying west and south of the plateau. I’ll continue to watch that closely. Much colder air will spill into the region behind that powerful storm system.
