MM’s 5-Day Forecast

Yesterday’s Weather Statistics

Radar-Estimated Rainfall for Yesterday

On This Day

1906 – A cloudburst deluged Guinea, Virginia, with more than nine inches of rain in just forty minutes.

1968 – Lightning struck the Crawford County fairgrounds in northwest Pennsylvania killing two persons and injuring 72 others.

Tropics

The tropics are active but much of that activity will stay out at sea. However, a new area to watch is the southern Gulf. A storm is expected to form there and move north. As you can see by the projected path, that storm could be concerning for the Gulf Coast next week.

Franklin is expected to become a hurricane but it should stay out to sea. Dangerous rip currents and large waves are expected on the eastern seaboard next week, but a landfalling storm is not expected.

I’m so proud to be contracted with Crossville City Fire to provide critical weather support for emergency services!
