Weather forecast issued Sunday, October 29, 2023
It’s good to be back home from my trip to DC! Now, to get caught up and rested up! ha October was a very busy month!
First Hard Freeze of the Season
Temps are about to plunge, folks. Our record high of 80 degrees set on Saturday will be a far cry from anything we see this week!
With overnight lows dipping to near 20 degrees by Tuesday night, it’s time to think about any exposed faucets outside. And don’t forget the outdoor fur babies! They need a dry shelter that is protected from wind.
To make matters worse, it’s looking like it will be quite breezy with this cold air, which will plunge wind chill factors to even colder levels.
Temps should start to fall by Monday afternoon, so keep that in mind for how you dress tomorrow.
The good news is that although this front will bring big temperature changes, severe weather is not expected.
That front is currently moving through West TN, as the current temperature map shows. The front is a very slow mover! Slow-moving arctic front rarely produce severe storms, and this one is certainly looking tame in that department.

MM’s 5-Day Forecast

Drought Monitor
The Drought Monitor is updated each Thursday. The map below was updated on Thursday, October 26. Drought is intensifying across the state and Monday’s rain will do little to help. We might see a quarter to half an inch of rain across the plateau.

Emergency Services
I’m so proud to be contracted with Crossville City Fire to provide critical weather support for emergency services!
