MM’s Forecast for the Plateau
Local matters, especially when it comes to your weather forecast! Bringing you your local weather since 2017!
This forecast is tailor-made for the Cumberland Plateau by Meteorologist Mark Baldwin each day!
We have another risk for wildfire again today, thanks to low humidity, ongoing drought conditions, and breezy conditions. Please be safe and let’s do what we can to prevent wildfire troubles.
A chance for showers will help us out on Thursday and Thursday night. Rainfall totals could be as high as 1/4 inch, as it looks right now. Hopefully we all get some rain but right now I’m keeping chances at 50/50.
Friday will likely bring another wildfire risk as humidity levels drop again. It will also be a very warm day on the plateau.
A much stronger front moves in Saturday night with better rain chances. Some of us may see up to half an inch of rain with this system (hopefully those totals trend upward). That system leaves us with a nice Sunday but a very chilly Sunday night. Scattered frost is possible by Monday morning.
