Sunny days continue….

Humidity levels begins to increase on Friday, putting an end to the crisp, cool nights we’ve been enjoying.

Dry weather will be with us through Saturday. Rain chances then begin to increase on Sunday. Even then, rain chances are only going to be 30%. So, rain chances this weekend are nothing to cancel outdoor plans over, but it is something to keep in the back of your mind. Check back for updates, just in case Sunday’s rain chances trend updward.

By Monday, we should see more coverage of shrs and storms, as rain chances move up to at least 50%.

Dry weather will be with us through at least Friday. There are some indications that an isolated shower or storm may pop up Saturday afternoon, but the better rain chances will hold off until Sunday. Even, then rain chances are only going to be in the 30-50% range. So, rain chances this weekend are nothing to cancel outdoor plans over, but it is something to keep in the back of your mind. Also, check back for updates, just in case Sunday’s rain chances trend updward.

Monday Evening Special Update

MM’s Forecast for the Plateau

This forecast is tailor-made for the Cumberland Plateau by Meteorologist Mark Baldwin each day!

Good evening, folks. Well, Space Camp is off to a great success and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds!

As for our weather, the complex of storms did indeed punch south through portions of West and Middle TN, sparing us the severe threat. However, as I talked about last night and this morning, the rain-cooled air to our west and the more humid air to our east has created a boundary across the plateau that is acting as a bit of a focus for some showers and storms even this evening. It’s a story as old as time. ha These boundaries are wonderful places for showers and storms to form and we’ll see that through the evening on the plateau. Not everyone will see these, as they’re the scattered variety.

The current radar shows some of those showers and storms. Movement is to the southeast. This activity should die off within a few hours. You all have a great evening!
