Threat Outlook for the Plateau

MM’s Forecast for the Plateau
This forecast is tailor-made for the Cumberland Plateau by Meteorologist Mark Baldwin each day!
Southerly breezes that could gust to 20 mph by this afternoon will be bringing back the humid air that comes from the Gulf. That will create an opportunity for an isolated shower or storm this afternoon/evening.
By Thursday, a much better chance for scattered showers and storms returns to the region. Winds Thursday look to be gusty, gusting to 30 mph at times from the southwest. I’ll be monitoring the risk for severe storms on Thursday, as well as the risk for flash flooding. Stay tuned on that!
Showers and storms should end by noon on Friday (if not before), giving us a decent afternoon and evening.
Saturday looks fantastic, with comfortable temps and low humidity.
By Sunday, the airmass changes once again, leading to a 50% chance for scattered showers and storms.
