Today the Artemis crew does their fly by of the Moon!!! This is the first time we’ve maneauvered such a move since 1972! Per NASA, Artemis II will be able to see the Apollo 12 and Apollo 14 landing sites tomorrow during the flyby. What an exciting day!!
Track Artemis at https://www.nasa.gov/missions/artemis-ii/arow/ (I advise doing the short tutorial they provide).
Check out the new radar, brought to us by WeatherTAP! Let me know if you have any feedback! And thank you to those who have given feedback. That is GREATLY appreciated!

MM’s Forecast for the Plateau
Local matters, especially when it comes to your weather forecast! Bringing you your local weather since 2017!
This forecast is tailor-made for the Cumberland Plateau by Meteorologist Mark Baldwin each day!
Well, the weather has turned boring on us but NASA is keeping things exciting with their lunar fly-by today!
As for our weather, we have nothing but sunshine and dry weather to look forward to this week. There will be clouds from time to time, but sunshine should dominate.
I don’t think we’ll be cold enough for frost tonight (although the coldest areas may see some?), but we will see more widespread frost Tuesday night.
Then, the most exciting thing is that it gets a bit windier on Thursday, with gusts to 20 mph, which isn’t too bad but it may kick up a wildfire risk.
Drought conditions will worsen this week, so please try to use water wisely.

Threat Outlook
The good news is that severe isn’t a threat for anyone in the U.S. today.

6-10 Day Temp & Precip Outlook

Extended outlooks continue to paint a very wet picture across the lower Mississippi River Valley for April 13-14. A slight risk for heavy rain extends into our neck of the woods. Hopefully we’ll see some beneficial rainfall from this mid-April with this set-up.
