The severe storm moving through northern Fentress County will stay north of Jamestown, but not by much. It is moving northeast toward Kentucky. You folks in extreme northern Fentress (ie Alvin C York area) and eastern Pickett will be impacted by this storm. It doesn’t have rotation but sometimes that doesn’t show up until after a tornado has occurred.
The warning remains until 8:45.
The rest of us have a strong line of storms to contend with. Thankfully, this is a line and not the isolated cells we had earlier. Lines are much less prone to producing any tornadic activity. These storms are not listed as severe but radar indicates that they contain heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds.
