Update

Issued June 27, 2026

The line of rain and storms moving through you all in Overton and Pickett county is not severe. This will move toward Fentress County. There are no indications or rotation. This should just be very heavy rainfall and lightning. I’ll watch it closely, though.

Local matters, especially when it comes to your weather forecast! Bringing you your local weather since 2017!

8:40 pm Update: Tornado Warn Canceled

Issued June 27, 2026

The storm that prompted the tornado warning for those of us in northern Cumberland County is showing much weaker rotation. In fact, the tornado warning was just dropped. As it crossed the Cumberland-Putnam border just east of Monterey is when it looked the most impressive. This storm continues to stay north of Crossville.

Those of you in Fairfield Glade are in line for this severe storm and it continues to pack a punch.

More storms are developing to our west and we’ll watch those closely over the coming hours. I’ll be watching it!

Local matters, especially when it comes to your weather forecast! Bringing you your local weather since 2017!
