7:30 Update

Issued July 3, 2026

The severe storm in Fentress County has dropped below severe limits. It could restrengthen as it moves toward Alvin C York and Pall Mall, so be aware of that.

If you know anyone camping at Dale Hollow Lake, please make sure they know a rough storm is moving their way. They may need to seek shelter and the storm has had a history of blowing down trees.

Local matters, especially when it comes to your weather forecast! Bringing you your local weather since 2017!

6:50 Severe T-Storm Warning Fentress County

Issued July 3, 2026

Severe t-storm warning for Fentress County until 7:30 pm. Damaging winds and large hail are possible with this storm. The worst of these are located on the Fentress/Morgan border and drifting westward (backwards to what we’re used to). These storms have a history of producing downed trees.

7:18 update: Storms appear to be weakening in Fentress County. They don’t look nearly as strong as they were when they first entered the eastern edge of the county. Remember, storms are moving west today. The latest 3D scan I took shows an improving situation. Still, these storms can easily still have some kick.

Warnings continue for Morgan County until 7:15 cdt, as well.

Local matters, especially when it comes to your weather forecast! Bringing you your local weather since 2017!

6:30 pm: Severe T-storm Warning Morgan County

Issued July 3, 2026

You folks in Morgan County are now under a severe t-storm warning until 7:15 pm cdt. This storm may be capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. In addition, torrential rainfall and continuous are lightning are occurring with this storm.

I did a 3D scan of the storm and large hail can be seen suspended in the updrafts of this storm. I would prepare for at least one inch diameter hail from this cell, along with torrential rainfall.

Local matters, especially when it comes to your weather forecast! Bringing you your local weather since 2017!
