Good evening, folks. A line of strong to severe storms is pushing through the Nashville-Lebanon area at this hour. The latest severe t-storm warning is for Putnam, White, and Van Buren counties until 9:00 pm.
These warnings are for winds to 60 mph and hail to 0.88″ (1″ is considered ‘severe’ criteria). The lowest criteria for a warning is 60 mph winds. Still, we’ll monitor these and hope they continue to weaken as they move toward the plateau.
This line of storms has weakened a bit over the past hour but these storms are still packing a bit of a punch. There is no rotation in these storms. There are also no watches in effect, but some warnings are certainly possible, just as we’re seeing now.
I’ll keep an eye on things.
