MM’s Level of Concern

MM’s Forecast for the Plateau
This forecast is tailor-made for the Cumberland Plateau by Meteorologist Mark Baldwin each day!
A nice, breezy Monday in store for us. Temps continue to warm.
Another weak disturbance is passing to our north today, bringing a few clouds to our skies and some gusty winds here on the ground. Some of those gusts could hit 25 mph this afternoon. We’ll stay dry.
Our next impactful storm system may bring a shower to the plateau as early as Tuesday afternoon/evening. The better rain chances hold off until after midnight Tuesday night.
Periods of rain, some of which will likely be heavy, will be with us from Tuesday night through Thursday morning. Rainfall totals of two inches should be common across the plateau by the time that system moves out on Thursday. Isolated higher amounts are certainly possible. Thankfully, the severe storm threat continues to look very low.
That system is followed by colder air once again and we’ll have to keep an eye on Thursday night for the risk of scattered frost.
