PLEASE NOTE: As of March 31, all camps are now full. After six weeks of taking and reviewing applications, registration is now closed for the 2026 storm chase and space camps. Please remember this for next year, as we plan to do camps again in the summer of 2027.
The space camp will have its fourth year in the summer of 2026! The storm chase camp will be celebrating its second year! Both camps are a ton of hands-on fun, and I can’t wait for you to see what I have planned for this summer.
Once again, Roane State will be serving dinner the evening of graduation. That will take place on Thursday, June 11. Roane State will have grilled hamburgers and hotdogs with all the fixings. Dinner will begin at 5:30, with graduation to follow.
All camps will be at the Crossville Roane State Campus 2567 Cook Road, Crossville. We will be in the big room that is immediately to your left as you walk in the main entrance that faces Cook Road. Anyone at the help desk inside can help you find us, as well. If at any time during camp you need to reach me, just call the front desk at Roane State at 456-9880 and they can get your message to me asap.
Space Camp will be June 1-2 from 9:00 a.m. to noon for the 8-10 year olds.
Space Camp will be June 3-4 from 9:00 a.m. to noon for the 11-13 year olds.
Storm Chase Camp will be June 8-9 from 9:00 a.m. to noon for the 8-10 year olds.
Storm Chase Camp will be June 10-11 from 9:00 a.m. to noon for the 11-13 year olds.
4/24/26 Update: The Cumberland County School System will once again provide lunches for the kids! That lunch will be served at noon. Last year, lunch ended up being a wonderful time for the kids to talk to each other about the things we had done in camp that morning. It ended up being a wonderful social experience for the kids! With this addition to the camp, I encourage you to wait until 12:30 or so before picking up your kids. I’ll be at Roane State until 1:00 if you need the extra time to come get your child.
