8:40 pm Update: Tornado Warn Canceled

Issued June 27, 2026

The storm that prompted the tornado warning for those of us in northern Cumberland County is showing much weaker rotation. In fact, the tornado warning was just dropped. As it crossed the Cumberland-Putnam border just east of Monterey is when it looked the most impressive. This storm continues to stay north of Crossville.

Those of you in Fairfield Glade are in line for this severe storm and it continues to pack a punch.

More storms are developing to our west and we’ll watch those closely over the coming hours. I’ll be watching it!
