6:50 Update: More Flash Flood Warnings

At 6:45 pm, new flash flood warnings are now in effect for the areas you see shaded in green just to the west of the plateau. The new warnings include Van Buren, White (Sparta), Putnam (Cookeville), and Clay Counties until 9:45. The warning over much of Cumberland County is in effect until 8:45.

Storms on top of the plateau have lost much of their strength, leaving us with areas of light to moderate rainfall. You folks to the west of the plateau will see your storms weaken over the next hour. For now, be aware of rapidly rising water and remember to never cross a flooded road, especially if the water is rapidly moving.

Other important weather information will be shared when needed. This includes additional severe weather information, model data, drought info, hurricane info, and more. Some of these can be found as tabs to this page at any time.
