Today is Thursday, August 27, 2026
2:40 Update: Skies are beautiful out there this afternoon but clouds are struggling to build vertically! Our 50% chance for shrs may be closer to 30% if things don’t change. Three are some shrs showign up northwest of Nasvhille and earlier shrs try to develop in southeast Cumberland County (those dissipated).

10:55 Update: Tropical Storm Dolly has now formed in the Atlantic. She’s not expected to cause any trouble. The naming is purely coincidental, with these names being determined years in advance.
I’m heading to the Space Coast on Friday to see the August 30 launch of the Roman telescope!

MM’s Wx Analysis
It’s another active weather map in a month that has featured many active weather maps! Today’s greatest risk for severe storms can be found in the Northeast and again in western Nebraska. Our risk for severe storms is very low but a strong storm or two can’t ruled out.

Thank You, Sponsors!
Help me welcome my newest sponsor, Risher Roofing! I first met them when they did work for us at Creative Compassion. They helped us put a roof on the home of a widow and their compassion, professionalism, and workmanship was so impressive. I’m so honored to have them as a sponsor!
