2:35 Update: Scattered storms are continuing to develop on the plateau. Nothing is severe but I’ll watch that. Also, the Storm Prediction Center has increased our threat for Saturday. I’ll do a special update tonight to address this.

Drought Conditions
This map updates each Thursday.
Drought conditions are on the worsening trend again across the state and will likely continue to do so in the coming weeks. Last week, 20% of the state was in drought. Today, 40% of the state is in drought. Thankfully, most of the drought conditions are on the lowest end of the scale of drought. That may change over the next few weeks if current trends continue and extended outlooks prove correct.

Nationally, only 20% of the country is not in drought, which is similar to last week.
