MM’s Level of Concern

MM’s Forecast for the Plateau
This forecast is tailor-made for the Cumberland Plateau by Meteorologist Mark Baldwin each day!
The drought monitor updated today and drought continues to expand across the area.
We won’t add any rain today, but it will be a very pleasant Thursday.
Another slight risk for a shower or storm comes Friday and Saturday but those precip chances have been slowly trending drier.
By Sunday, the heat cranks up and by Monday we’re near 90°. There are indications that the the middle to end of next week will be wetter. We’ll sure hope so!

Threat Outlook for the Plateau
Storm Prediction Center Severe Storm Threats
Today’s severe storm threat is greatest in Kansas, where primarily a wind and hail threat exist.

Yesterday’s Storm Reports
It was a very active day for severe storms from Utah to Montana! I’m not sure I have ever seen such an active day in that part of the country. Pennsylvania and West Virginia had a rather active day, as well.
