MM’s Forecast for the Plateau
This forecast is tailor-made for the Cumberland Plateau by Meteorologist Mark Baldwin each day!
We have our fingers crossed for an isolated shower or storm today, as severe to extreme drought continues on the plateau.
The airmass behind this system will give us a very pleasant Thursday. Get outside if you can!
Another slight risk for a shower or storm comes Friday, followed by a slightly better chance Saturday. Precip chances end and temps soar for Sunday and Monday. There are indications that rain chances may begin increasing again by Tuesday.

Storm Prediction Center Severe Storm Threats
Todays’ risk for severe storms stretches from northern Utah to western Montana. Another couple of areas of low-end risks can be found across the Texas Panhandle and again from near Bristol, TN to western New York State. The plateau is shaded in a general, non-severe t-storm risk.
