Local Weather Concerns:
The Storm Prediction Center has placed the plateau in the marginal risk for severe storms for today. Areas just off to our west are in the slight risk. We will deal with the risk for severe storms on Monday, as well. The NWS Nashville had this to say in their morning forecast…”Please keep in mind, strong downburst winds can cause damage just like low-end tornadoes. Spots of tree damage and power outages should not be a surprise with storms today through Monday.”
Sunday’s threat level from the Storm Prediction Center is at the marginal risk. The slight risk is as close as western Putnam county. Monday’s risk is very similar. Both threat levels could increase as we go through this time period, based on how storms evolve.
