I just want to wish you all a very Happy New Year! Thank you for trusting me with your weather. You have no idea how much that means to me. This year’s app and website growth were remarkable and I have you to thank. In the coming year, I hope to see even more growth, including the addition of a podcast and more!
Today marks a bittersweet milestone for me. It was my last official day at Creative Compassion. Now, I’ll step into my new research role at Tennessee Tech as part of a National Science Foundation Grant. This is such an incredible opportunity for me and I am so incredibly grateful for it. My research will focus on the southern Appalachians, which includes our plateau and the Great Smoky Mountains. As you know, drought can have serious implications on our part of the country. I’ll be looking into both the impacts of drought (especially in the future), as well as the transition into and out of drought conditions. In recent years, such transition periods have featured significant natural disaster, including Hurricane Helene. I’ll have much more on all of this in the new year ahead!
I’m also so thankful for the success of the kids storm chase and space camps held each summer. The summer camps of 2026 will mark our fourth year! I can’t wait for June! More than 100 kids have already passed through the camps since they began!
Again, thank you all for listening to my forecasts, heeding the warnings, and referring me to others. I appreciate it more than you can ever know!
I also appreciate my sponsors! Please take a minute to see their info at the bottom of this post. You’ll also see them featured each day in the weather forecast and during special updates. I’m also honored to be contracted by Crossville City Fire to provide them with weather info.
Bigger, better, and more grateful with each passing year! I can’t wait to see what 2026 holds!
God bless you all and may you have the best year ever in 2026!

Thank You, Sponsors!
