Much needed rainfall moves out…
Our rainfall from last night, along with some rumbles of thunder, is moving east this morning. Still, we’ll be left with cloudy skies, drizzle, and scattered showers through the noon hour. Skies should clear overnight, which could lead to fog development.
Friday and Saturday look sunny, mild, and beautiful. Even the winds will be light.
By Sunday, clouds will start to increase as we go through the day. Our next rain system may move in late Sunday night. Temps during this time are a bit uncertain, as a cold front will be hanging out just to our north. If that front slips farther south, we’ll have a colder rain Sunday night. At this time, the risk for wintry precip looks low but I’ll keep an eye on that, especially for you folks closer to the Kentucky border.
A stormier patter may develop by the end of next week. I’ll also keep you posted on that.

I had over an inch of rain by midnight, while Crossville just had this 0.35. There was quite the difference between northern Cumberland County and southern Cumberland County with rainfall last night! This morning, I have over 3″ of rain in my gauge!
