This forecast is tailor-made for the Cumberland Plateau by Meteorologist Mark Baldwin each day!
Showers for our Monday.
And those rain showers will be with us throughout the day. In fact, they will likely increase in coverage this afternoon before tapering off this evening.
The rest of the week’s weather is dominated by high pressure. It’s not the strongest high pressure, but it’s just enough to keep the heaviest rain and strongest storms off to our west. As we get to the weekend, this high should break down just enough to allow for the rain to get here.
This high is positioned off the Southeast coastline, which means it’s a very warm southerly flow into our neck of the woods. Some of the high temps I have on the five day forecast below may be a couple of degrees too low.
