March is getting ready to give us a wild ride!
First of all, tiday is looing nice, albeit a bit windy! Those winds relax for Saturday, making for a very nice and mild day. Winds will pick back up overnight Saturday. Get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather on Saturday!
Those gusty winds continues on Sunday as another strong cold front approaches Sunday evening. By Sunday night (exact timing to be determined) a very strong cold front will move across the plateau. This front will bring the threat for damaging winds which may even be widespread. I’ll monitor that severe threat very closely. Then, colder arctic air spills into the area and that will likely bring snow showers on Monday. Minor accumulation is possible on grassy and elevated surfaces. Temps stay cold for Tuesday before a warming trend begins midweek.
