MM’s Forecast for the Plateau

This forecast is tailor-made for the Cumberland Plateau by Meteorologist Mark Baldwin each day!
Morning flurries and then some peaks of sun!
Those peaks of sun won’t last too long, as our next system is poised to move in by Wednesday morning. This system comes at the head of a warming trend. However, as that warmer air moves in and that disturbance moves over us, temps will be very cold and any precip that falls will fall in the form of light snow. Sometimes these systems can produce quick hitting shots of snow. Right now, I’m forecasting 1/2 inch or less but that could trend up with more data that comes in today. Stay tuned.
As warmer air continues to move in, more showers are possible Thursday. Those should be light and very hit or miss. The warming trend really cranks up on Friday and Saturday!
