MM’s Forecast for the Plateau

Local matters, especially when it comes to your weather forecast! Bringing you your local weather since 2017!

This forecast is tailor-made for the Cumberland Plateau by Meteorologist Mark Baldwin each day!

March winds continue to blow, but today those winds are back to being out of the south.

You could almost get whiplash trying to keep up with which direction the winds have been out of from day to day. (ha) Today, they’re southerly and they’ll be southerly for the next several days. As we all know, southerly winds are bound to bring in warmer temps and moisture and indeed these will do just that!

But we won’t worry about the moisture part of that equation until Tuesday and especially Wednesday and Thursday. We could see some storms but right now nothing too concerning is showing up just yet. I’ll keep an eye on that.

The good news is that we have not frost or freeze conditions to worry about for at least the next week.
