All clear for Putnam, Overton, Fentress and northern Cumberland County

The threat has passed for you all and you can relax. This is Putnam, Overton, Pickett, Fentress and northern Cumberland Counties ONLY. The rest of you need to keep taking cover.

We still have lots of lightning and rain, though. Be safe.

I posted this on Facebook and I’ll say it here, the way these lines work is that you get a push of very gusty winds first (gust front). That is then followed by the rain and the lightning. Once that gust front goes through, you’re generally safe from damaging winds. That gust front has finally passed by my house (Rinnie). I’d estimate winds topped out at 50ish mph. It sounded worse up in the fields and I suspect a lot of limbs are down. The power flickered but I still have power. You all stay safe. It blows through pretty quickly.
