Several of you have messaged me about scary looking clouds. Their bark is worse than the bite. They are ominous looking, though!
We have some strong storms around the plateau but they are below severe limits. As I’ve said earlier, we can’t rule out a briefly-severe thunderstorm. Widespread severe weather is not expected.
My concern level remains low.
Current radar shows a line of storms and heavy rainfall moving toward the plateau. It is very slowly moving. I’ve tracked this line all afternoon, as it crawled across Middle TN.
We remain in the marginal risk for severe weather. Some of you may have noticed the tornado watch that is in effect for southern Kentucky and much of Ohio. Those storms are staying well north of our area. The atmosphere across Kentucky and Ohio is dramatically more unstable than ours.
You all take care.
