Quick WX Update (8:35 a.m.)

I’m working on the Saturday morning blog but wanted to jump on here real quick to let you all know that there is a storm coming into Fentress County within the next hour that is being warned for one-inch hail. These are the types of storms I mentioned yesterday that would affect us this morning. These storms carry a risk for some hail and that’s what this one is doing. It also has a lot of lightning, like other storms in our area have had this morning.

We are currently under NO watches but the Storm Prediction Center is considering a severe thunderstorm watch for later this morning. Radar shows a lot of heavy rain and storms to our west, moving east. Plan accordingly. I’ve highlighted Cumberland and Fentress Counties below for reference. Rain is moving east and northeast.

I’ll have a full blog update out within the hour.
