1953 – One of the few severe hailstorms accompanied by snow, sleet, glaze, and rain, pelted parts of Kay, Osage, Creek, Tulsa, Washington, and Rogers Counties in northeastern Oklahoma late in the day. Nearly 10,000 insurance claims were filed.

Thursday night’s MM kids class went so well! I had about a dozen kids turn out and we had the best time figuring out much electricity we could detect in fruit. We also made fluorescent light bulbs light up a bit using static and we had the best time playing with the plasma ball! It was a great class! Next month’s class topic is on tornadoes.
There will be a new MM kids class at the Roane State campus in Clarkrange beginning Thursday, May 19 at 5:00! This is the first MM class to be offered in Fentress County!
