I just wanted to give you all a quick update to say that nothing has changed with the thinking on today and tonight’s storms. While thunderstorms will accompany the cold front, the vast majority (if not all) of the storms are expected to stay below severe limits.
The NWS Nashville has stated that storm spotter activation is not expected, which is really good news!
Look for showers and thunderstorms to increase in coverage later on today, especially after dark. One or two storms could put down a damaging wind gust in isolated locations (much like your summertime storms).
