A new line of storms has developed just east of Nashville and is moving eastward. One of those storms has dropped large hail in the Antioch area (that storm has since weakened to below severe limits). It is worth noting that temperatures between us and Nashville have been 10-15 degrees warmer than ours. Our storms earlier really did a number on the instability of our atmosphere.
I’ll keep an eye on things but our severe threat continues to look very low. The main risk with any storm that does make it here would be hail 1″ or larger. These storms could produce more heavy downpours and gusty winds, as well.
The Storm Prediction Center circled an area of Middle TN, seen below, for consieration of a severe t-storm watch, though they said the chance for a watch being issued was about 40%.
